Hello everybody !

Once upon a time, in a land, where the heaven touches the earth, there lived a slightly crazy, charming girl called Ewa, who was a member of AEGEE –Kraków, and whose goal in life was to meet a lot of people from all around the world, to learn about their cultures and to break stereotypes…
HELLO !!!

As You already know my name is Ewa , and I’ll be turning 21 this year. I’m a happy student of two faculties- law and political science at Jagiellonian University in Krakow J As You can guess I’m interested in international affairs and political issues especially from european perspective. Thanks to aegge (in which I’m a member of IPWG) I have many opportunities to analyze the current, political events and initiate projects focused on up-to-date issues in international affairs like for example Model European Union J. I am also deeply fascinated by the culture and traditions of the Far East like japanese or chinese. Visiting those places are my greatest dream, and as a traveller I’m sure that one day it will finally come true. What is more I used to be a dancer( for 15 years )so I loooove to dance, and additionally I have graduated a music schoole playing the piano, but You should know that when it comes to singing I have no talent at all! xD Even though I really like to do that ;p
As a law student I decided to became a The European Law’s Students’ Association member , in which, at the moment, I’m a Director- local practics responsible.

I have never been to Sicily ,and actually I have never been to Itally as well. I know this is one of the most beautiful places in Europe so I found it perfect for my first SU. I can’t wait to meet all of You, to have fun, to dance all nights long, to swim and to just live our lifes in a deepest way it’s possible. See Ya all in Catania J

Kisses

I feel so excited about it that I´ll try to fulfill this experience with all my energy, enthusiasm and joy :) I must confess I feel completely delighted with the idea of coming to Sicily and enjoying this SU with you all.

about me

hello,

i am steff, from austria, but not really, because i now live in germany. which makes it difficult for me to decide which country i can represent at the european night :)
i was on a SU two years ago, in turkey, and it was just perfect, and i would never want to miss the opportunity to go again, so this year, catania is waiting, and i really look forward. ah, the warm weather, (man, it's raining here, and it's cold, even in july!!), italian people, aegee people and spirit, what could be better?
anyway, very soon i will see all of you, so i will not bother you with long stories about myself, just ask me when we're there, on the spot. i really prefer face to face communication to this blogging. we'll have two weeks time for getting to know each other.
is there anybody else from germany? HALLO? Hört mich jemand?

ex Erasmus missing Italy

Hello blog :) and party ppl
I`m Ruxandra, the only Romanian participant in this SU. I`m 22 years old and recently graduated in Communication and Public Relations ( so now I cand start doing some PR for myself) :)
I am counting the days until my departure for Catania as summer here in my city is not very fun, all students are gone and I still working ...grrrrr....
With this SU I have the hope to relive for 2 weeks the kind of life that I had in my Erasmus stage ( or make it even better ) They were 6 incredible months in Italy, in a small city not far from the Adriatic coast called Teramo. I had the time of my life, but, unfortunately I realised that only after returning when I didn`t find my place in my hometown and between family and friends. Since then my only thought is to return in Italy, to find university there and to start over.
Regarding Sicily I have good and bad memories...although i`ve never been there :) (it`s all about few persons) But when I saw this SU for Catania I felt this is the right moment to be there ( consider that i`ve said no to IBIZA for this :P )
Meet u all in 20 days in sunny Sicily and we`ll talk more there during drinking, visiting, partying and having loooooots of fun :)
Meenwhile, you can contact me at
ruxybarbu@yahoo.com
ruxandra-dana@hotmail.com
on facebook and on HI5

Baci e abbracci,
Ruxi

Ciao Catania!!!

Hello to everyone!
I'm Ioanna from Greece, Athens. I'm 20 years old. I'm studying to become a teacher and I'm very enthousiastic with this! :-))
This would be my first SU.... and I'm growing impatient! (I count 3 months as an Aegee member!!). Everyone have told me that summer universities are the best way to experience aegee spirit, so I can't wait to live an experience like this in Catania!!!! I've never been in Italy before so I considered it as a great opportunity to get to know it better! I think 15days are quite enough to take a general idea of Sicily!
Maybe after that experience I will come back like a different person... maybe I will have made some new good friends... maybe I won't come back! (..who knows?). Also it's a nice way for me to learn and practice in some basic things of the italian language as I'm going to start lessons in September- and boast in my class that I know more than them! ;-)
I love traveling, meeting new people, I really love music (and dance of course!!!) and I'm a quite easy-going person open to new experiences. It's unbelivable... one more summer full of activities!!! Tommorow I'm leaving for a week in a mountain camp for children as an executive volunteer member. Then I participate in a 2weeks programme for creative pastime in schools. And after a crazy SU... beautiful greek islands will be waiting me to give them some of my aegee experience.. ;-) But the most important thing now is to get prepared for the European night's competition!!!
Good preparation to all the PARTYcipants and the organisers!!!! :-))
Good luck to the participants who still have exams!

Can't wait to meet all of you in Catania!!! :-)

Just Few Words

Hello PARTY PEOPLE!!!

I am Maciej from Poland and I’m 22.
I study Medicine at the Poznań University of Medical Sciences.
At the beginning I’d like to say that I am really sorry because of my "silence" but, in the matter of fact, I was really busy lately:( I've just passed last exams. Unfortunately the worst part of third year - (fu..ing) pharmacology – left to cope with... If only my university were less f….d up I could be partying with the rest of my colleagues from other academies... As you can see I can’t do it, cause some dick from noble deanary or faculty board decided that it would be better to smash my brain with few thousands of drugs names, use, side effects etc. included in Mutshler Pharmacology “Handbook” (3kg waight) right now on JULY…

But you know what??? I am not as mad and pissed as it seems, Cause I know (I’m even sure) that all my efforts will be repayed by two HOT, SUNNY and really CRAZY weeks in CATANIA:D:D:D Till 9th of July I’m gonna feed my hunger of partying and dancing here in Poznań with my friends. Next I’m gonna spend few days for really hardcore preparations of my liver enzymes (specially for european night;) ) in Świętokrzyskie Mountains and when the time will come I’ll be ready to HAVE AUTHENTIC FUN (with no brakes) IN SICILIAN atmosphere WITH YOU:D:D:D (In these words I just wanted to say that I can’t wait to meet you Guys , and I really hope that SU Catania will be unforgettable experience for all of us )…

Ok, now few words about me: I think that it will be much easier to tell you who I am not than describing myself feature after feature so… If you expect medicine student to be very calm and reasonable person who loves drinking tea every evening, after long day of intensive (and intresting) study, by the sound of classical music then I have some bad news for ya. I am not that type who loves books (there’s nothing wrong about it though) doesn’t like loud music, and think that drugs, sex and specially rock&roll are evil combination sent on earth by Lucipher himself. Budda says that suffering is the sense of life – I’m probably complete opposition to this freakin’ idea… That would be it in shortcut…

See Ya In Catania!!!!!!

Saluti from Porto :)

Ciao everybody!!!

I'm Mariana, from Porto (in the North of Portugal) and I'm a 21 year-old medical student.
I've been an AEGEE-Porto member for a year and this will be my second SU.
Last year, I attended Palermo LC and it was so great, that I decided to go back to Sicilia :D And it seems that Tijana, Carlos and Victor share my opinion ;)

I love travelling, going to new places and meeting new people.
I can't wait to be in the sunny Catania with all of you!

And I'm excited about the European night. It'll be a nice opportunity to get to know more about our countries.
I wonder... Is there another Portuguese participant to share the huge task of showing you all the fabulous things Portugal has to offer? :P

Concerning my travel plans, I'm intending to spend a few days in Paris, before going to Catania :) Does any of you know some kind of nice and cheap hostel for me to stay there?

Meanwhile, I'd love to keep in touch with all of you.
My e-mail address is mariana_ferreira_leite@hotmail.com. You can add me on Messenger, Facebook, Skype and/or hi5.

Hugs***

P.S.:
I can't find the group of the SU on Facebook. What's its name?

Introduction

Hello everybody,

My name is Szilárd, I’m 21 years old from Budapest.
Last year I tried to pay some attention to business and management lectures, but soon I noticed I can’t so I thought I’d better deal with practical things, so now „work” at AEGEE-Budapest as a treasurer and of course try to concentrate on studies simultaneously.
Apart from my business-focused side I like different kinds of sports like swimming, basketball, pool and as an active aegee member of course going out with my friends and dancing till the sun rises or sometimes a bit longer...
There is one more thing the passion to explore new things continuously. I’m really keen on trying new things out e.g. new travel destiny, new culture and people or just simply think about cooking from a new recipe.

To sum it up I’m really waiting for this SU, not just because of the excellent organizers and the spirit of Sicily, the parties and I just can’t wait to get to know the other crazy participants :-). Hope to see you all soon!

Cheers,
Szilárd
